Most history books still teach that about 5000 years ago, mankind was a primitive hunter-gatherer incapable of complex thought.
Under this paradigm, megalithic structures were built for sacrificial purposes, to deify a ruler, or to help a society ignorant of the seasons know when to plant its crops.
Mankind was thought to be a brutish sort stuck in survival mode, capable of little more than primitive speech, certainly incapable of writing, which was deemed to be a requirement for building large structures and cities.
But in the last few decades, and with new technology, explorers, and archaeologists began to find megalithic sites on a global scale and signs of large civilizations under the jungles, things that required math and engineering to build. Many date to a time long before any writing was invented. Our Darwinian minds always thought that whatever came before us must be more primitive but maybe we were wrong.
The myth and folklore of ancestral people from ancient Greece, Persia, India and elsewhere give us a far different story. They spoke of a time when mankind walked with the gods and lived in harmony with nature on a pristine Earth.
Their stories repeatedly whisper of a long-lost Golden Age and a celestial-driven cycle where the rise and fall of the ages flowed like seasons. Most of all, they speak with reverence about the stars and our connection with the heavens.
It has recently been discovered that most megalithic structures (cairns, tombs, henges, etc. around the globe) are astronomically aligned, or positioned to mark the solstices and cardinal points.

Dr. Robert Schoch
Director of the Institute for the Study of the Origins of Civilization, Boston University, College of General Studies; Geologist and Author
TOPIC: The End of a Golden Age, 12,000 years ago, and Its Relevance Today
Dr. Robert Schoch is a distinguished geologist, known for his groundbreaking work studying ancient civilizations from a physical science and anthropological perspective. After pursuing geology, anthropology, and archaeology at George Washington University, Schoch earned his Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University in 1983.
Schoch’s research challenges conventional chronologies and interpretations of ancient history, particularly regarding our understanding of the development of civilization. In the early 1990s, Schoch (at the instigation of the late John Anthony West) demonstrated that the Great Sphinx of Egypt has been heavily eroded by water even though its location on the edge of the Sahara has endured hyper-arid climactic conditions for the past 5,000 years. Based on the evidence, Schoch concludes that the origins of the Great Sphinx, and thus true civilization, date back to the end of the last ice age, around 10,000 BCE. (Schoch notes that the head is a dynastic re-carving; the original head was that of a lioness.) An older Sphinx and its associated structures provide evidence of high culture and true civilization six millennia prior to the standard dating of the supposed earliest civilizations. Excavation of the 12,000-year-old megalithic complex of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey has confirmed Schoch’s assertions.
Schoch’s recent work has focused on the cataclysmic events that ended Earth’s last ice age, circa 9700 BCE, simultaneously decimating the high civilizations of the time. The overwhelming evidence drawn from varying disciplines, put forth in his book “Forgotten Civilization: New Discoveries on the Solar-Induced Dark Age” (revised and expanded, 2021), points to enormous solar outbursts as the cause.
Schoch has collaborated with his wife and author, Catherine (Katie) Ulissey, and artist Lisa M. Perkins, on a new publishing venture aimed at bringing the ancient mysteries to inquisitive children (ages 7 to 12+). The first book of the “Adriana and the Ancient Mysteries” series, “The Great Sphinx”, was released in America this summer (2024) following German (2021) and Italian (2022) editions. Joseph Selbie
Author, Speaker, Researcher
TOPIC: Satya Yuga and quantum coherence
Joseph Selbie is one of the foremost exponents of the yugas, India’s tradition of cyclical history. The yugas provide context for ancient anomalies, such as Gobekli Tepe, Sanskrit, and the Great Pyramid, as well as for emerging trends, such as the current explosion of interest in experiential spirituality. His book, The Yugas, has sold worldwide and in numerous translations. Joseph’s studies span East and West; Greek history and archeology at U.C. Boulder and Indian history and philosophy at U.C. Berkeley. He has presented frequently at CPAK.
A polymath, Joseph is also known for creating bridges of understanding between the modern evidenced-based discoveries of science and the timeless experience-based discoveries of the mystics. He is the author of Break Through the Limits of the Brain, how neuroscience supports spiritual experience, The Physics of God, a unification of science and religion, and, coming out in the fall of 2024, The Physics of Miraculous Healing, an explanation for extraordinarily rapid physical healing.
Joseph has taught yoga, meditation, and universal experiential spirituality throughout the US and Europe. He has presented at numerous conferences and has appeared on many programs including: The Chopra Well with Deepak Chopra, Coast to Coast with George Noory, Gaia’s Open Minds with Regina Meredith, and Buddha at the Gas Pump with Rick Archer. Joseph appears with Elizabeth Rohm in the 2014 docudrama, Finding Happiness, which showcases Ananda Village, one of the most successful spiritual communities in the world. In 1975 Joseph became a founding member of Ananda, a worldwide spiritual movement inspired by the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi.

Walter Cruttenden is an author and researcher working at the intersection of ancient wisdom, modern science, and human consciousness. TOPIC: The Yugas, Chakras, and the 7 Spheres of Creation
Boris Fritz does research and teaches in the field of archeoastronomy. He has a B.A. in Philosophy from Occidental College, an M.A. in Asian Studies from Claremont McKenna Graduate School, and is a Ph.D. Candidate in the History of Religions at UCLA. He also serves as an adjunct Professor at University of Southern California, in Aerospace & Engineering, as well as at Loyola Marymount University, and is a Team Member of the Bubble Base of NASA’s 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge for Deep Space Exploration.
Boris is a life long meditator and yogi and practices and teaches the Filipino Martial Arts as well as practicing Bukti Negara – an Indonesian Martial Art. His talks focus on esoteric and practical changes that humans will experience in the near future, according to ancient and eastern philosophy.

CPAK 2024 LOCATION
CPAK 2024 is located at the Expanding Light Retreat, within the spiritual yoga community of Ananda Village in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, 90 minutes northeast of Sacramento, California.
Ananda Village includes several sacred temples, including its largest, the Temple of Light, a three-minute walk from where CPAK 2024 is held. The Temple of Light, with its dome-shaped sanctuary, was designed and built as a Dwapara Yuga temple, encouraging meditation and sending light out to our galaxy.
To stimulate higher consciousness, the Temple of Light includes a unique copper Yantra under the main altar, touching the earth. This Yantra includes sacred Sanskrit mantras and symbols, gifted to Ananda by a holy swami from India who many years ago intuitively foresaw the creation of this temple.
The Yantra, when combined with the meditation that occurs in this temple, acts as an ‘energy conductor”, sending out magnetic rays that radiate in concentric circles outward through the earth filling the planet with light and peace. Guests to CPAK 2024 will have the opportunity to attend a special musical kirtan and meditation inside this temple on Friday evening, October 18th.

Ananda Meditation Retreat
Available by calling (530) 478-7557, 9-5 PST. The Meditation Retreat is a 15-minute drive to the main Expanding Light Retreat, where the conference will be held. The Meditation Retreat has been used as a quiet, forested retreat for over 50 years.
It includes a dining facility, small boutique, meditation gardens, two meditation temples, and nearby hiking trails.
Housekeeping Cabins: Rustic cabins have views of the surrounding forests.
Happiness Lodge: 5 simple rooms with a shared bathroom and shower for women only.
Bungalows: Simple forest bungalows have two twin beds with a nearby bathroom and shower house.
The rooms on the Ananda properties are almost full but there are still campsites available. Or there are plenty of nice hotels just 30 minutes away in Grass Valley, like the Gold Miners Inn. So pick one (see link below) and drive out for the Friday Night Party, and or just come to hear the speakers on Saturday. Eat in town, or enjoy breakfast, lunch and light refreshments during the breaks at the conference venue. All meals included for CPAK attendees!
