Entering the Fractal Dream: Göbekli Tepe as Dreamscape, Fieldwork as Deep Listening
Charlotte Moroz
MA and doctoral candidate in Mythological Studies Join Charlotte Moroz, MA and doctoral candidate in Mythological Studies, to explore the dream landscape of Göbekli Tepe, reporting insights and further questions from her mytho-ethnographic fieldwork to understand the way in which living people today interpret and form narratives around a given ancient site. Charlotte’s work identifies collaboration and deep listening as vital tools in the mytho-study of excavation sites, decentralizing interpretation and examining and connecting the dots between repeating archetypal patterns. Suggesting myriad multidimensional, holistic ramifications from such an approach, this work examines the fractal foundations of interpretation and the impact such a fractalized approach could have in our construction of the past, present and future.Mythological Dreams as Windows into Cosmic Order
